One of Bob Monroe's special interests was creating useful tools for everyday life.
- Move directly to a state of deep relaxation by inhaling, holding your breath a moment while thinking of the number 10 in your mind. On exhaling you will be feeling mind awake, body relaxed. This is a good tool for any moment of the day when you might feel stressed, but also useful at bedtime to help you move into a relaxed state conducive to sleep.
- Put your resonant energy balloon (REBAL) in place instantly, inhaling, holding your breath a moment as you think of a ball of shining white light with the number 10 inside. On exhaling your protective REBAL will be around you, holding your energy in a high vibration. If you so chose, you can mentally expand it wider to include other people to create a more heart centered communication with them. Many great performing artists do this automatically to "connect" with their audiences.
- Access information from a state of expanded awareness, by inhaling, holding your breath a moment as you think of the number 12 and the problem or situation at hand. On exhaling wait for and expect an answer, which may come in bodily sensations, symbols, memories, songs, or simply knowing. If you experiment with this on small things, you will learn to trust this simple process and be able to use it reliably at any time.
- Become alert, centered, focused, and awake, by thinking of the number one in your mind. A very useful tool when you are attending a lecture, driving and wish to be very alert to traffic, or just feel a bit tired.
